Program Overview 
This program offers to pay a reward to both a referring member and their referred new member for completing the referral. This offer is available to any member and potential member as outlined below. The information below pertains to Pyramid Federal Credit Union and all predecessor credit unions (“Pyramid FCU”).

Rules for Referred Members
1.    Eligibility Requirements for New (Referred) Member:
a.    The new member must:
i.    Be eligible for membership (all accounts are subject to approval)
ii.    Be 18 years of age or older
iii.    Be the primary member opening a Pyramid FCU Checking Account (must qualify to open a checking account)
iv.    Complete the simple referral form when the new account is opened
b.    The new member is not eligible for this offer if he/she:
i.    Is a signer on any current or prior Pyramid FCU account except that joint signers on youth accounts are eligible if the joint signer has no other (current or past) account relationship with Pyramid FCU
ii.    Caused Pyramid FCU a loss that has not been fully resolved
iii.    Claims a referral after the new account has been opened
2.    Employee & Volunteer Eligibility: Employees, volunteers, and immediate family members (including domestic partners) of employees and volunteers may not be referred (by anyone). Employees, volunteers and their immediate family members can make a referral and are eligible to receive a referral award except as previously noted. So, for example, an employee can refer an eligible friend.
3.    Basic Reward Requirements: Any new Pyramid FCU membership meeting the eligibility requirements above qualifies for the basic reward. To retain the reward, the new checking account must remain open and active for a minimum of one full year. If the account is closed or becomes inactive within 12 months, the referral reward amounts will be deducted from both members’ accounts.

Rules for Referring Members
4.    To earn a referral bonus, all accounts of the referring member must be in good standing. This includes (but is not limited to) loans must not be past due, deposit accounts must not be negative, no losses on accounts, address must be good, no account is restricted.

Operational Rules
5.    Referral Reward Posting: Upon satisfaction of the above requirements, the referral reward will be deposited to the new member and referring member main share accounts and placed on hold until the 90th day of the new member’s checking account. This will be done by the MSR opening the account. Note that the rewards are not actually earned until a full year has passed. To receive the referral reward, each Pyramid FCU account (whether referring or new) must be in good standing. Pyramid FCU, at its discretion, will determine if an account meets that requirement.
6.    Taxes: Taxes due on the referral rewards are the sole responsibility of the recipient. Pyramid FCU will report to the appropriate state and federal agencies as/if required by applicable law.
7.    Financial Privacy: Member account information is private. If, for example, a member makes a referral and expected to receive the referral reward, but did not, Pyramid FCU staff generally cannot explain this to the referring member because this information is private to the referred member.
8.    Liability and General Rules: Participants agree to hold Pyramid FCU and each of its officers, directors, volunteers, employees, members, representatives and agents harmless from any liability arising from participation in the Pyramid FCU Referral Program. Pyramid FCU is not responsible for any negligence, claims, liability, injury, property loss or other damages arising from, or in connection with, acceptance or participation in this program. Pyramid FCU is also not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, lost, incomplete, illegible, late, misdirected, stolen, or mutilated materials or bona fide human processing errors. Pyramid FCU reserves the right to disqualify participants who fail to follow these Official Rules and regulations, or who make any misrepresentations relative to this program. Void where prohibited.
9.    Conduct and Decisions: Pyramid FCU reserves the right to amend or cancel this program at any time without notice. If the conduct or outcome of the program is affected by human error, mechanical malfunction, or failure of any other kind, intentional interference or any event beyond the control of Pyramid FCU, Pyramid FCU reserves the right to terminate this program, or make such other decisions regarding the outcome as Pyramid FCU deems appropriate. Pyramid FCU reserves the sole right to interpret these rules and resolve any disputes, conflicting claims or ambiguities related to this program. Pyramid FCU’s decisions concerning such disputes shall be final. Pyramid FCU disclaims any responsibility to notify participants of any aspect related to the program.
